Program/Project Grant
The HKM Memorial Fund awards grants to programs and organizations that demonstrate impact in areas that meet its main priority areas:
   
start
 
improve access and awareness of rowing to people in need.
start
 
improve our environment and protect wildlife.

Examples of these include:
   
start
 
Increased Rowing: Projects or programs that increase the number of people rowing.
start
 
Increased Access for Rowing: Projects or Programs that increase access to rowing.
(examples- handicap or disabled programs, inner city or rural help, - things that make rowing more accessible to people who may not normally have access)
start
 
Improved Environment and Wildlife Protection:
Projects or programs that help improve the environment or help protect wildlife.
(example – Caretta Research Project: Loggerhead Sea Turtle protection program Hadrienne loved so much, zoology related stuff etc)

Scholarships

Individual Rower Scholarship
Allocation of funds designated to subsidize membership dues for individuals that may not normally have the means to try rowing.  This includes financial or physical. Rationale: someone who can’t afford the dues, or someone whose family is having hard times and could use the assistance.

Competition Scholarship
Awards scholarships to help underwrite either a team or individual excel to international or national competition level who may not be able to afford it or may need the help.
